Energy China signed a contract for 1,040 MWe Upper West Sokan pumped-storage station in Indonesia:

China Gezhouba and the Indonesian National Electric Power Company signed a contract for the construction of the Indonesian Upper West Sokan Pumped Storage Power Station. As Indonesia's first pumped-storage power station, the project aims to increase the power generation capacity during peak demand periods to help Indonesia's clean energy development and decarbonization transformation goals.
