Energy China Won a Bid for Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) Plant in Spain
Recently, Energy China won a bid for the engineering and technical consulting services of a liquid air energy storage (LAES) plant in Spain. Located at the Granadilla thermal power plant in the southeast of Tenerife, the Canary Islands, the project is planned to build a LAES plant with a charging capacity of 50 MW, a storage capacity of 300 MWh, and a discharging capacity of 50 MW, based on the LAES technology from Highview Power.
